Be wild and free…dance with me…Guardian No. 1017
Inspired by a humble young friend who nurtures his children to be free-spirited individuals.
A robust Guardian figure, measuring approx. 19″ long, 11″wide, and 8″ deep. The ears indicate that a male was my inspiration. His leaf face is symbolic of renewal and the ability to influence a new generation of hope. His down-to-earth aura is visible in the use of clothe covered coconut shell symbolic of humility.
Tiny metal beads tumble down the front of his shirt between suspenders that hold up his dreams for future generations. He is rooted in loyalty to his family, as they depend on his moral and hard-working character to thrive.
As he travels through this world he shares creative passion that emanates out to others.
This Guardian dances into the world on a vintage bed spring from a hand painted wooden block. Sewn to the back of his right wing is a tiny bell, representing my mother’s playful spirit. It’s gentle sound is a reminder to listen to the whispers of your heart.
