Guardian No. 1015…painting the world pretty in pink shoes…

Unsettled like a brewing storm…she grabs her paintbrush and covers the world with rainbows as she releases her spirit into the world,,,

This Guardian’s face represents the hypnotic quality she has to pull you into her fantastical view of the world. Sparkling rhinestones crown her head shining forth loving energy. An explosion of colorful locks of hand felted unspun wool roving reflect her creative spirit.

The colors of her clothing echo her passion for preserving wild creatures who roam the earth, swim the seas, and soar the skies. Faceted beads shimmer from underneath her skirt of reclaimed sari garment ribbons, as she frolics among her wide circle of friends. Tiny shiny beads run down her legs to her pretty pink shoes…

This Guardian takes flight on a re-purposed bed spring emerging from a hand-painted wood block base measuring approx. 18″ tall and is 6″wide and 6″ deep. Sewn to the back of her right wing is a tiny bell, representing my mother’s playful spirit. Its gentle sound is a reminder to listen to the whispers of your heart.
